Answers:

1. I can't sync my Google contacts - no further action option appears.

If the system doesn't open any further action options when you click on "Configure with Google", the problem could be due to a pop-up blocking in your browser settings.

Please check if pop-ups for our domain are allowed in your browser settings. For Firefox, please follow these steps:
1. Go to "Tools" and select "Options"
2. In the "Web features" tabs check in the "Allow Pop up Windows" box
3. Press on the "Allowed Sites" and add our domain to the list

If using Google Chrome, please follow these steps:
You can allow all pop-ups by disabling the pop-up blocker. Follow these steps:
1. Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
2. Select Options (Preferences on Mac and Linux; Settings on Chrome OS).
3. Click the Under the Hood tab.
4. Click Content settings in the "Privacy" section.
5. In the "Pop-ups" section, select "Allow all sites to show pop-ups." Customize permissions for specific websites by clicking Manage exceptions.

If using Internet Explorer, please refer to the steps below:
1. Select "Tools" > "Internet Options"
2. In the "Privacy" tab, go to "Pop-up Blocker Settings"
3. If the "Block Pop-ups" option is checked, click on settings and add our domain to the list of "Allowed sites"

2. What is the capacity of the system in terms of saving or attaching documents to the project or tasks?

There is a per file restriction of 20Mb in order to prevent abuse of the system. But it may be extended upon request, and no charge will be incurred. A total of 1 GB storage is provided per account, but may be extended upon request. Depending on your user-base and subscription period you can get storage of up to 4 GB for free. Further extension should come 2$ per month per 1 GB

3.Is there a way to keep a back-up of the system?

Yes. The system is being backed-up on a daily basis on Amazon's Cloud environment, where the whole infrastructure of the system is being hosted. We are currently working on providing individual backups for specific clients with such needs. In a month time it should be possible to backup your data and transfer it to your end (small fee may apply for the service)

4. Is it possible to rename terms, for example, from department to section?

Yes. It is easily possible to rename terms into those ones you prefer to see within the system.

5. Does kpi.com offer SSL?

Yes. 256-bit SSL is available upon request for paid subscribers in order to provide data security while their data being transferred between their PC and kpi.com servers.

5.1. How secure is my data?

You data is very secure indeed. (Actually much more secure than it would be sitting on an average PC). Your kpi.com account is hosted on Amazon EC2 web hosting - the same highly secure and reliable storageservers used by Amazon.

All kpi.com plans include SSL encryption to keep your data safe. Plus kpi.com €™s product software and infrastructure is updated regularly with the latest security patches.

6. Is kpi.com available in other languages?

For the time being the only available language is English but the good news is that we have built a platform supporting localization and any company that is willing to translate the system may be considered as a partner. For further information contact: support@kpi.com  

7. What is the required speed of the internet to effectively use this system?

A minimum of 128 Kbit/s speed internet should be fine as long as traffic is stable. One thing you should consider is our application is Web 2.0 rich client interface. While opening any section for the first time (e.g. Project Management) it will take a while (7-10 seconds) to load the interface depending on your internet speed. Then further interactions will use light weight Ajax communication with server.

8. What are the costs of the installation and maintenance or any needed technical support?

We can assure you that technical support (data entry, migration from other systems etc.) is totally free and we don’t charge you a penny for the installation. However as for the customization, you will be charged for the service on an hourly rate depending on how complex the customization is.

9. What are future implementation plans in kpi.com ?

Currently we are working on full CRM enhancement with Mass Mailing/Chat/Message Center tools being implemented. Furthermore, tools appearing within the “More Menu”, namely Google Analytics, Lead Capture Forms, are of high priority status and are being developed and will be up and running in the nearest future. Tools like Approval Forms, Survey and Polls are available already and may be implemented upon request as a customization.

10. Is kpi.com available offline?

No. Since we offer SaaS application we don’t have offline version available. Using the web based version you will be able to have quick real time support and upcoming updates of the application. However the good thing is that we provide you with Excel and Outlook Plugins enabling you to upload your data entries to the system thanks to the synchronization provided.

11. How often is the system upgraded?

The system is upgraded once every 2 weeks. Major uploads are done on a monthly basis. For monthly uploads release notes are provided while other upgrades will be sent via email.

12. Are customizations available?

Yes. They are available and cost you depending on the complexity of the tailoring required.

13. How can I become a partner? What are the terms and prices?

14. If I don't need some modules or features.

Features you think you may not need will either be hidden or switched off so that you will be able to see and use only those needed.

15. Which browsers does kpi.com support?

kpi.com supports the following browsers:

Internet Explorer 6.0+ & above
Mozilla Firefox 2.0+ & above
Google Chrome 5 & above
Safari 4 & above

Regardless of the browser type, you must enable JavaScript for kpi.com to function properly.

Note: Please use Google Chrome 5+ versions for better experience.

16.How to setup a message center?

If you are using a free account, you are able to setup only one e-mail. After you are in a paid account, you can setup any number of messages. Note: Per day no more than 50 e-mails can be setup.

To start setting up the message center, you should go to Settings page from the main dropdown menu. Now, choose CRM Settings and click on the Account Properties button. You are required to fill in the necessary fields and click on the Save & Close button.

To see all e-mails, go to the Workspace and click on the Message Center feature where a control panel will be viewed. You can also go to CRM page and open the list of all messages through the Message Center.

Only administrators are able to manage the message center (change password, share an e-mail with employees, etc). Note that administrators can view all e-mails (inbox, sent, etc) whereas employees can only see the e-mails sent and received by them.
